Hi, Craig, things were good this week.
June 2: On Tuesday, it was day 2 of final exams. Again, I observed most kids being serious and heading to class to do their exams, but a few were playing around still (whatever). In other news, my class and I attended a banquet today, where we won awards for playing in Special Olympics baseball. It was nice to receive a trophy.
June 3: On Wednesday, it was the final day of exams. I didn't have any exams today because I actually finished the one I was supposed to take today last week, so today was a easy day. After that class, I went to my Autism class where we did gym then played some games (since after gym, it was 9th period, and we're not there when it's 9th period usually) such as bingo.
June 4: On Thursday, my class and I went on a field trip to the Art Institute on Michigan Avenue. The art was really beautiful. We also went through Millennium Park and ate at a McDonald's on State Street.
June 5: On Friday, there was a shortened schedule, due to graduation. The day was kind of crazy, due to a food fight that broke out in 4th period lunch, fights and kids leaving the school. In other news, I attended the graduation (to see a couple of friends who are graduating) and it was a very nice event. There were very nice speeches made as well and it was great to see the class of '09 receive their diplomas and carry on with their lives. I send my congrats to the class.
June 8: On Monday, my class and I went on our final field trip of the year, to the Chicago History Museum (formerly known as the historical society). It was a nice trip. After the trip, we ate and got back on the bus to school.
- Thanks,
Avondale/Logan Square Crime Blotter
