Not unusual at all Craig. We handle stuff like this all the time. Our job ,at times, can be very, very dirty. Nothing like walking into a house with all the windows closed in the middle of summer when it's 90 degrees out and discovering a body that has been dead for a couple of months. You will smell that body for a couple of days. Ever see the movie Psyco? I have handled many bodies that looked just like dear old mom did in that movie. Or how about the seven people killed in a car crash on LSD years ago? All seven burnt beyond any human recognition. We had to take them out of the car. Or the case where the guy who was in his fifties died at home and his dog, normally mans best friend ate his genitals because he was hungry?
It's really sad, the way some people die. Alone, nobody to care for or about you. Just a piece of meat.
Make sure your neighbors like you and your kids love you. And keep and eye on your neighbors. If you don't see them for awhile when you know they should be home, call us.
OK - was the picture really necessary? That was disgusting enough to read without it!
Craig, you could have spared us that photo. We all get the idea without the graphics, thanks.
Big Daddy, thanks for that post. Very insightful... I appreciate the work you and others do every day.
That picture makes me want to throw up ... it's disgusting to look at.
This happens, as BD mentioned. It is not always reported. It does not take long for 'decomp' to set in. Hopefully, the cause of death is natural causes.
We had an acquaintance who fell after a seizure and died from the impact in the south loop. She was in her thirties, so people suspected foul play at first. It turned out that it was an unfortunate accident.
Check It out, reminds me of Morse avenue of old.
