Life @ Sullivan High

Hey everyone. You know who this is by now, LOL. Anyway, I'm just here to give a quick update on what's been going on over at Sullivan High School within the last week or so. Which isn't much, like last time (the rowdies appear to have calmed down in school this year).

My observations:
* A rumor of an alleged fight I heard in one of my classes that was going to happen yesterday. This was because someone messed with someone's sister. I don't think this is gang related, so if they fight, hey, it's their business.
* Some goofing off. Most of it is just sheer nonsense, while a few "incidents" I don't care for because after all, I'm a teenager myself.
* A few more incidents within my Autism program. These are being handled, however.
* Some goofy/stupid rumor going about me that I'm retarded or something. This is third party info, though. I'll confirm this at school tomorrow (I'll try my very best not to argue or fight =]).

Also, my class is going on a field trip to the Lincoln Park Zoo tomorrow. I won't be attending, though, due to me having classes this year. Like I told my English teacher, I'll start attending them towards the end of the school year. I just need to be in class now. I hope my class has fun.

UPDATE, 9/24/09: I witnessed what I believe to be a fight today. Boy VS girl. On the 1st floor at about 8th period. My class and I were heading out for a walk when a boy and a girl were arguing. They were waiting for their teacher to open the door since they were late for class. I guess the argument turned physical. I personally didn't like seeing a male hitting a female, because I was raised not to hit women.

"Stop Sign"! yells a fellow pedestrian just now at wayne and farwell,
i really have a great ear,
"thats what they are for"

mumble mumble from car.

"Great with children in the car??!!"

I give the pedestrian credit for her fortitude, was a female voice
the mumblings sounded like a female as well.

Always glad to hear when someone speaks up about stupid behavior. We need more of this. I can understand, though, not doing so if it seems dangerous. In many situations, you can't say anything anymore without some risk.

Hey Timmy- the Lincoln Park Zoo is fun!
Just don't eat fruit in front of the monkey communal areas. They tend to take "not sharing" with indignation and shall attempt to urinate on you like they did with me the last time I was there.

I've never appreciated glass partitions more before or since.

Today officially marks the end of this morbid calendar summer.

Human societies lost a few notable personalities, celebrities and a much larger number of people, sadly like James at the lakefront, whose many moods in life haven't been constantly covered by the media.
I'm not all-knowing so happily I don't have a ringing in my ears when someones electric synapses burn out.WHEW!

The 1960's and '70's eras took a profound hit or two in regards to individuals which defined those eras yet it was the Eighties icons, including Ed McMahon (Star Search) and Ted Kennedy (who, during that decade, couldn't profoundly repeat the notoriety that his intoxicated actions a generation earlier resulted in) and Corazon Aquino;the first recognized female president of a modern era Asian nation whose election was mutually appreciated by both genders as equilibrium in progress.

I overlooked noted chronicler-of-high-society's-dastardly-machinations Dominick Dunne whose passing was overshadowed by Kennedy's. I recall him because he is patriarch of Griffin Dunne(an actor who starred in 1985's After Hours which can seem like Rogers Park at times).
Look for those up coming best sellers covering the sordid tales of illuminated souls who occupy the cloud terrace.

Nobel laureate (for saving a billion lives) and patriarch of the Green Revolution Norman Borlaug who started actively composting 10 days ago.

As all of the newsies east of Clark well know by now Don Hewitt left about a decade after his program should have. Andy Rooney probably can't wait to disappear into the invisible frontier to tell Hewitt that god is just a hoax after all.

So don't pass up an opportunity to experience life if you can help it.

Newgarder, I know the zoo is fun. I enjoyed it the two times I went last school year. And I wanted to go. Only problem is, my geometry teacher is quite strict and I don't think he'd approve of me being absent every Wednesday (days we go on trips now). Besides, I already signed no for field trips on a form for this and next month. So I can't go now.

When school starts winding down towards the end, I'll start going again.

It's a wise choice to stick with the studies and forego the field trips for now. The classes will give you information for your life and the zoo will still be there tomorrow. Learn as much as you can now because it will only help you later.

Keep up the good work, Tim.

Exactly right, Missy Eastlake. I agree 100%.

As an addendum to a sub-topic in my last comment on this post I'd like to state that I heard that the disease AIDS may be dying as well.

If you were raised to hit women then it would be okay?

I just think thats a funny line,
and should go without saying.

"Sally, i think you deserve a good karate chop in the head for doing that, but I reckon its your lucky day. You see, I was raised not to hit the fairer sex." Then the cowboy downed his whiskey and sauntered out of the bar looking for where the hell he had put his horse.

jeffo, I was going to make a full response to your post. But since you complain so much about this blog, it's not worth saying.
