A body was pulled out of Lake Michigan this morning on the North Side, officials said. Chicago Fire Department officials were called to the lakefront near Sheridan Road and Pratt Avenue at about 11:05 a.m. about a person in the water, said Chicago Fire Department Spokesman Kevin MacGregor.
The person was found dead at the scene, said MacGregor. Police are handling the investigation, officials said. No information about the person's gender or age was available.

Chip Bagg, that was a very nasty thing to say.
The night before this body was discovered, a 911 call came in from a male victim that was being assaulted on Sheridan and Pratt. During the call, the caller stopped responding to the operator's questions. I wonder if this is related to that call.
Yea - that's just horrible and ridiculous. Do we know any more about who it was?
There's always some shady activity going on around the pier at Pratt during the summer. A lot of people like to drink way down at the other end. I wouldn't be surprised if the person they found fell off the pier due to drunkeness.
@ Boxing Tomboy:
And what are you doing down at the end of the pier at night, huh?
Rushing to judgement?
Jumping to conclusions?
hey Flammifer how do u know this. that was my husband they found in the water. and no he was not drinking. his name was Terrence Coleman.
