About 11:10 p.m. on the North Side in the Rogers Park neighborhood, a 16-year-old boy was wounded in a drive-by shooting, police said.
The shooting happened in the 7400 block of North Wolcott Avenue. The boy was outside when unknown suspects pulled up in a gray SUV, police said. They shot the boy before fleeing southbound on Wolcott Avenue.
The boy was taken in good condition to Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston with a gunshot wound to his leg.

6-7 squads on my strech of wayne ave last night in between morse and farwell (7/20)
and paddy wagon took away the 3 patron kids about 10-11pm last night
also 6914 n wayne is finally putting up fencing around the steps today
no more vagrants and gangbangers sitting in front!
I was having dinner and drinks at the Act One Cafe last night around 6:30 PM. Over 15 gang members were causing a ruckus, fighting with each other... and yelling at each other... and blocking traffic in the process at Morse and Wayne.
Why would I classify them as gang members? In the beginning of the first meet, each person greeted themselves to each other with a very interrogate handshake - like you see in the gang documentaries they show on the History channel.
911 was called. The police arrived only to have the alleged gang members run in every direction possible. The police cars formed some sort of gauntlet east, down Morse, making sure the street was safe for a couple of minutes.
No arrests were made.
I think the word you are looking for is elaborate craig.
I find it very ballsy these patron kids, they dont come here as often as they used to, they are ?latin kings? and they are hispanic
and the main gang here is ?gangster disciples? and black

Uhh, Craig. Isn't what you describe pretty much an every day occurrence in this neighborhood and in many other sections of RP?
You might as well be describing certain groups of students leaving Sullivan High after the school day has ended. Someone alert Timmy!
Oh yes, they love that corner! It's easy to pick out the gang bangers. I'm glad to know they will be putting up fencing - I walked by there yesterday - I don't remember seeing anything. I saw a lovely window knocked out upstairs with cardboard in it's place.
