Wow. Good News.
Wonder which store was involved.
The Golden Market on Morse seems a prime suspect.

That is a piece of crap store.
Their milk freezer doesnt even work. So why do they have milk?
Maybe because its a front for something else.
I cant think of a store more deserving of being shut down
or one that i hope closes soon.

I guess in England they have b.s. restaurants that front for drug sales places.

Investigators also determined some of the suspects were operating a drug market out of Ramy's Foods at 1723 Simpson in Evanston

It lists the people caught in the sting from aaround here, looks like most were from evanston, just a few from rogers park.
Actually the number caught from chicago was about the same caught from skokie and ulp! one from niles.

Wow, I am just so impressed! I mean, but we have eliminated the drug dealing in Rogers Park and Evanston by this sting, or at least made a dent, haven't we?

And this will deter others from entering the trade, right? I'll bet this sting just TERRIFIED the local drug dealers and gangbangers, and they will henceforth go out and get legitimate employment and cease dealing drugs to our kids from fear of the law, won't they?

Somehow, I don't think so, and I have a feeling there will be another turf war replete with the usual violence and murder, until a new pecking order is worked out and the players have decided who will deal what and where.

Then we can have ANOTHER investigation and ANOTHER major "sting" with dozens of arrests, followed by ANOTHER violent turf war.......and quite a few MORE badges on the wall at 31st street and more innocent civilians caught in gang crossfire.

Prohibition didn't work in the 1930s, and only enriched and empowered a vicious criminal class far beyond the dreams of the punks and scum who fought over booze turf then, and that's all prohibition is accomplishing now. We're only enriching criminal cartels, corrupting our politicians and top law enforcement people while endangering our street cops and wasting their time and energy on this no-win War on Drugs.

Yeah for the most part you are right North Coast.

I think shutting down fronts for drug sales is worthwhile though.

I couldnt sleep about a week ago and i saw a drug dealer, clean cut aa young man with backpack hounding a mexican drugbuyer for payment.

Well the mexican didnt pay him back and the young aa man said that he was a bad guy.
Then the mexican said yeah well look whos talking.

Funny for a drug dealer to call someone a badguy.

It is hopeless to stop the drugdealing. It does lead to violence.

It doesn't surprise me that the ghetto turds use LINK cards to do drug business. They will do anything to avoid getting a real job. Also good to know that Marxist Obama will continue to shovel OUR money to programs where these pieces of shit can get their hands on it. It's called wealth redistribution.

Hard to tell who gets more unearned benefits.. the "ghetto turds" and their upteen jillion out-of-wedlock kids with 15-year-old mothers and gang-banging ex-con "baby daddies"..... or the Bankster Mafia at the top with their trillions in bad loans and $45 Million houses in the Hamptons (and Howe St in Chicago) that we're being forced to pay for.

No matter who gets it.. the banksters, the politicians, the families on public aid for 5 generations, it's the honest and prudent and the unsubsidized in all socio-economic classes who pay for it.

The honest working poor who work three crap jobs to own crappy little $35K houses in Cottage Grove are being blasted out of their houses by taxes to pay for "affordable" subsidized apartments that cost $400K a unit to build.

The honest middle income people who are struggling to save up down payments so they can get a real 30-year fixed on a decent dwelling have to help people who squat in $500K houses they haven't made payments on in 18 months, with mortgage mods, just because these cretins borrowed money they couldn't afford and equity-stripped their houses to buy boob jobs and $50K cars.

And the working rich who fought their way to a hard earned minor fortune are watching their businesses be decimated while incompetent, sclerotic dinosaur industries like our doddering auto makers get bailed out and get to pretend they're paying the money back when they use money they were given as grants to pay back government loans.

We've turned the whole country into a Welfare State, and we wonder why we're stone broke, have no way to make a living, and couldn't mobilize for a real war. The smartest country in the world has become the dumbest.

Yeah im still democratic,
but the more i live in Rogers Park the more republican i become on certain issues,
like public welfare/public aid.

There is little to no oversight.
And tons of waste. Here we live side by side with some of societies biggest screwballs.

geofredo and north coast - I couldn't agree more - I also think there's a direct connection with these losers and litter. I lived on the near north side (Lincoln Park and Lakeview) for over 10 years and up here for 2 years. I like my place and the lake but not all the creeps that roam the streets here.
