Woman missing from Rogers Park threatens to shoot people

A possibly armed woman who suffers from mental disorders has disappeared in the Rogers Park neighborhood and police are asking for help in finding her. Gloria Rodgers, 63, was last seen Friday leaving the 7500 block of North Rogers Avenue and her family says she suffers from mental disorders, according to a Belmont Area detectives missing persons alert.

Family members have told authorities that she has threatened to shoot anyone who approached her and she may have a pearl-handled revolver, the alert said. Rodgers is possibly wearing a leather jacket and she is described as black, 5-foot-8, 200 pounds and she has a medium complexion, and has brown eyes and black hair, the alert said. Rodgers also has a small scar on her left cheek.

Police say if you encounter her, do not approach her but call 911 or Belmont Area detectives, (312) 744-8266

The only way to get more Rogers in the sentence or story is if,
she was then found in "West Rogers Park" at the Rogers Park Park at Washtenaw right on the steps of Phillip Rogers Elementary School.

That could be a lot of people in this neighborhood!!

I'm curious - what happens to all the homeless druggies that yell at me all summer down at the park when I'm walking the dogs? The weather changes and I don't see them anymore. Then as soon as spring comes - they all start showing up again. Do they head to Florida for the winter?

@Razldoofus....
If you would go to the CAPS meetings you would know everything about the so-called "homeless" who are not homeless at all but live by scarfing at the government trough. (The productive people pay for them whether they are at the park or squirreled away in RP apts for the winter)
And if they yell at you while you are walking your dogs in the park, then I must say that is the first positive thing I have heard about them.
