49th Ward Aldermanic Petition Challenges Underway (Update)

Got a call from Blane Roberts today. Seems he's being challenged with his petitions from someone he hadn't heard of before. Wonder why anyone would want to bump Blane off the ballot? I guess whoever did this, or whoever's campaign is behind this, was threatened by his candidacy. Blane tells me the same person challenged Ben Meyers, too.

Update: The challenger of the petitions is Jason T. Olsen. He's challenging everyone but Joe and Brian. Even Ross Akins got the petition signature check from Jason.

Local Trash Update

Morse and Greenview building that houses the Common Cup had alot of trash in its parkway, some lovely young lad had opened up a redeye and let it fly and various other crap. Picked it up. Okay so working the Common Cup angle wont work, they have divorced themselves from the parkway. So I will call the building management and Ward 49. There is a blue light Camera there for a reason. Also every single corner there has been worked with, no reason to let things slide.

Maybe other people would like to call
its 773-477-7070. While I dont mind picking up the parkway, its ridiculous that I am the only doing it. A non owner of the building, non tenant and non business owner and non involved with the building, other than I am a citizen at large and I would like there to be some public safety and pride in our heart of rogers park

Its obvious the gangs want this to be their corner. I dont want driveby shootings like there were last summer. So I wont let this rest.

Good News the LephreCAN (portipotty) is gone. So we wont have male and female bums in there doing gods knows what.

Crappy Corner of the week goes to Lunt and Greenview and Pratt and Glenwood.
Its a tie. Both look well like CRAP.
Both are filled with litter and look unloved.

Where is the crime? Well I will give you a hint, where is the LITTER?

Drive around Chicago, most places dont have litter, even ho hum kinda blah areas arent litter filled, only really BAD hoods and gang hangouts.

Man wounded in Rogers Park shooting
December 2, 2010 6:47 AM | No Comments
A man described as in his 20s was shot this morning in the city's Rogers Park neighborhood on the North Side.

The shooting happened about 5:45 a.m. on the 1300 block of West Farwell Avenue, said Police News Affairs Officer Robert Perez.

Early reports said the victim ran to a store on the 1400 block of West Pratt Avenue, but that was not confirmed by detectives.

The man, who suffered a gunshot wound to his buttocks, was taken to Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston. His condition and the circumstances behind the shooting were not immediately available, said Perez.

Police were searching for three men in connection with the shooting, but no one was in custody

Yeah I heard some noise early this morning and some police siren buzzing, not sure what was going on.
Didnt sound like gunshots, but it was a hard heavy metallic sound.

I cleaned up around there, some ahole had busted up the cute chair that was left at farwell and glenwood.

I take it that the "store" they are talking about is the seven eleven

Is he one of Joe's staff workers? Looks like maybe he was too late or didn't get a chance to challenge White (who got his petition in on the last day. Will be curious to see what happens Monday
