Person Shot on Morse

Early this morning around 2:15 AM, a person was shot on Morse Avenue, near Clark Street. The alleged victim, M/B in his 20's, arrived at St. Francis in Evanston with a bullet wound to the lower leg. Police were canvassing the area of Morse Avenue, between Paulina and Clark Street, for possible evidence. A warning was issued to patrol officers over the scanner to look-out for a silver car, as it may contain the possible shooter and gun. No warning has been issued to the neighbors regarding a gang turf war going on.

It should be self evident by now that there is a gang turf battle.
Me thinks this gentleman was definitely wandering outside his area.

But ofcourse this is all stupid.
I think over the next 10-20 years these gang people will simply be pushed out by market forces.

Until then cross the street to the other side when you see someone who could be an obvious bullet target.

Join with us on Sunday, December 12 at 1447 W. Morse Avenue for our Grand Opening. The ribbon cutting will be at 12:00 (high noon). We'll be there to greet you and show off our new digs until at least 6:00 p.m. that day.

The Rogers Park/West Ridge Historical Society (HS) made the decision to move to a more visible location in order to make the history of these two neighborhoods more accessible to the people who live and work here.

In an attempt to make this history come alive to visitors of all ages, we have created exhibits that include a variety of storytelling "tools."

Hey craig
how about a good news post?

What a waste of police time and effort. I wish these guys would improve their gun skills so they would kill each other with one shot. Or at least shoot the target's nuts off so he can't breed.

@Chip Bagg, I often wonder why Gang Bangers are bad shooters too. A friend of mine said they reason so many of them can't shoot is because they are either high or drunk when they are shooting. Kind of like a liquid courage...or a way for them to grow a pair. I could believe that.
