Special Bulletin--Sheridan Road Closed at Evanston Border

Dear Neighbor,

I have been advised this morning by the Chicago Police Department that Sheridan Road is closed at the Evanston border until further notice.  An armed man has barricaded himself in one of the apartment units in the condominium development located at the far northern end of Sheridan Road just south of Calvary Cemetery.  Fortunately, he is by himself and has taken no hostages.  Police negotiators are on the scene.
Until the situation is resolved, Sheridan Road will be closed between Howard Street and the Evanston border.  I urge you to use Clark Street as an alternative route.
I will continue you to keep you updated as the situation develops.
Sincerely,
Joe Moore

At 10:30 PM on Wednesday night, there were 4 police vehicles at this location when I drove by. There was also a woman with what looked to be a news camera on a tripod pointing the lens up at the condominiums. She was on the south side of Sheridan where the street runs east-west.

Joe Moore sent out another press release. The nutcase gave up before shooting himself. Joe hopes he seeks help. I'd wish he would've pulled the trigger.

That's the difference between me and Joe.
