Winter Wonderland on Morse Avenue

Hey Craig: Really cold weather keeps the gangbangers indoors---transforming what is normally a hellhole into a winter wonderland. Peace on Morse and Goodwill to All Men.

True Billyjoe,
but I think with continued calling of police and picking up litter we can make the rest of the year gangbanger free rogers park, atleast near the morse el stop et. al....

Its nice to have a break from them.
I guess its not cool to wear thermal underwear and chill by the golden mini mart, though maybe they could go oldskool and get an oil barrel and lighter fluid and some firewood and then hangout like they used to at maxwell street.

Sleigh bells ring, are you listening,
In the lane, snow is glistening
A beautiful sight,
We're happy tonight.
Walking in a winter wonderland.

Gone away is the bluebird,
Here to stay is a new bird
He sings a love song,
As we go along,
Walking in a winter wonderland.

In the meadow we can build a snowman,
Then pretend that he is Parson Brown

He'll say: Are you married?
We'll say: No man,
But you can do the job
When you're in town.

Later on, we'll conspire,
As we dream by the fire
To face unafraid,
The plans that we've made,
Walking in a winter wonderland.

In the meadow we can build a snowman,
And pretend that he's a circus clown
We'll have lots of fun with mister snowman,
Until the other kids knock him down.

When it snows, ain't it thrilling,
Though your nose gets a chilling
We'll frolic and play, the Eskimo way,
Walking in a winter wonderland.

That's a fantastic photo. It looks like it belongs on a postcard. I've been playing to take photos and video around the city, but I'm too afraid of getting robbed. :-(

Timothy - come on - you can take photos and videos around the city - I do it all the time. Just pay attention! If you have expensive equipment, take someone along with you. Basic common sense stuff.

I don't miss the hoodlums standing on Morse either or the druggies down at the park - that's a great thing about the colder weather. That wonderful mini mart does very little for the new street scape with it's ghetto gates - I saw the owner out kicking the trash into the street, instead of picking it up!

Sad. Sad. Sad.

Last summer, I was walking around taking pictures in Uptown and the thugs kept eyeballing me. Every time I tried to take a photo, a group of undesirables were standing in the shot and looking at me like they wanted to shoot me. LOL

thats the thugs only weapon,
intimidation....
