Moore's Kids Should be Proud

A lot of talk has been made about being proud of how a campaign is run. In our Ward dirty campaigning has been just part of the territory. Friends were pitted against friends. Neighbors pitted against neighbors.

This election was something different. Sure, us bloggers still did what we do - stir shit. But the campaigns on the other hand, they just went about their business.

In 2007, Joe was in the fight for his life. Lots of things Joe did weren't pretty. His own son, Nathan, got into it. Nathan took serious chiding from me, personally. And Nathan chided back. Joe buckled down the last four years and created a better environment for Rogers Park. He ran a clean campaign, outside of a couple hold-no-punches mailers.

This time around both Nathan and Zack should be proud of their old man. I even heard Joe congratulate Brian White in his victory speech. Moore hadn't done that against an opponent in the last two election cycles.

OMG!! When's the hug fest!

Let's see if this "wolf in sheeps clothing suit" fits better than the last one.

So let's see some action now, not just before an election.

I don't understand why people give you grief because Moore gets some credit for turning things around. You would be more critical and know more than most whether Moore deserved a pat on the back - geez

I was offended by the misleading messages (outright lies?) in his mailers.

Joe couldn't completely take the high road...he let his true colors show.

At the end of the day Joe was the better candidate. Brainy Brian White did no one any justice by making the RIF thing his primary agenda. If he would have been a little less controversial the outcome would have likely been different. I actually think Joe is a good guy and I think the business man in him will be better for our community. By the way those mailers ROCKED, they were incredibly effective at targeting the hippocracies in Brian's agenda. I loved the pic of Brian's grill with the light bulb above it!!!! Whether they were valid or not they worked and aliens will one day show them in text books for their small alien children. "This represents the era of when human politics were not only very humorous but attacked people based on if they had a funny looking head otherwise known as a GRILL"!

With the new election its up to all of us to also make a difference. No one person is responsible for our Ward we are are responsible for what happens here.

Hey Larry, hasn't Joe been doing things to help Rogers Park since he almost didn't win the last election with Skeletor (Don No dong Gordon)?

Aren't some things starting to change for the better? or are you one of those losers who expect change to happen overnight?

And Right on Shaun, we are ALL responsible for where we live

SOOO, Rogers Parker.

Why do we have to wait until Joe almost loses an election for him to turn around and act the way he's supposed to? Because Joe really does have an achilles heal and is vulnerable to a formidable opponent.

And who really is making big changes up here to make Joe look good?

You have so much to learn grasshopper!

Maybe you should spend your time figuring out the above instead of spending it name calling.

craig, i think this election was a prime example of what makes rogers park so great- people willing to work out their differences and act together for the common good. i, personally, want to thank you for being big enough to bury the hatchet. you could have just kept your mouth shut, and let things slide by, but you didn't.
thanks.
