Rahm Visits Charmers

Yesterday Rahm Emanuel skipped a 49th Ward Democratic Party forum a few blocks away to attend a neighborhood 'Meet and Greet' at Charmers on Jarvis. The overflow crowd had to listen to Rahm outside in front of the Cafe because there just wasn't enough room inside to accommodate all the people. Joe Moore stopped by to introduce Emanuel to the throng of excited neighbors waiting in the cold to meet the next Mayor of Chicago. Before Rahm scooted off to his next stop in Lakeview, Charmers owner Dan Sullivan offered Emanuel a Donut.

As the event ended a group of voters followed these folks with signs to the early voting booth, presumably to vote for Rahm and Joe. Some would say if these sign holders walked off the cliff, the crowd would follow.

If you like people like Richard Daley and Joseph Moore, you will love Rahm Emanuel. That picture of Moore stumping for Emanuel tells me all I need to know about Rahm and who I will vote for.

Have you all noticed that Emanuel has attended exactly ZERO community forums? Unless it's a televised forum where he can get maximum exposure, he won't appear in any setting where voters can directly compare him to the other candidates. He's shown a pattern of scheduling individual appearances on the same dates as nearby community forums, seemingly to both maximum his control over his public appearances and take some of the audience away from his rivals.

He's doing a GLBT forum right now. It's not on a major network.

I guess that's the exception.

You, Craig, have become a great disappoint to Rogers Park, haven't you?
