Hard to believe a site like Everyblock would block residents from expressing their thoughts.

They are using fake accounts now to make it seem more friendly...

Just take someone's profile picture and put it into a reverse image search (like Tineye).

Standard generic pictures.

Censoring neighbors and creating fake accounts to prop up stats. Is that really what the owner of the site intended it to be? What a joke.

Everyblock shot itself in the foot.

Craig, Can you post stories about cute puppies and adorable kittens?

I have noticed my comments dissappear from EB recently as well. They have issues!

I"ve seen this happen with other websites, eventually the best and brightest users just give up and go elsewhere and either it dies, or becomes a hollow shell of its former glory (Television Without Pity).
It's not just Rogers Park, there is a very righteous war going on against Panera Cares, which has flooded East Lakeview with Uptown-style problems, it's intelligent people vs. Pr trolls and clueless yuppies going "You hates da homeless, oh noes, you's bad, bad bad" even though these new Panera customers are just having a free-for-all at the expense of neighbors nearby. Stealing packages, breaking into building lobbies and partying it up with a Panini, etc, etc etc.
I personally have had several of them taken in for parole violations, but I am just one guy who doesn't live there, just visits friends there.

Hey Craig, It is becoming more and more apparent that people are realizing what a bore Every Block is given the new Cindy H./Annie Queen (I suspect same person) posts.

Yep Rogerspark... There seems to be a definite proliferation of well behaved newcomers focused on softball issues and questions about the community.
