"Hi, I know you're a gangbanger, can I take your picture?" |
What happens is, an officer pulls up to a known "hot spot" - as the police call it - and radio's into dispatch he/she (the officer) is pushing along the gangs from where they are currently residing. What happens is the gang casually moves to another corner without being arrested.
Say, like today, at Howard and Ashland. Officer #2483A calls in to dispatch and says he's removing a gangbanger at 1600 West Howard. The dispatcher chimes back - saying the event # is 08236.
Hooray. Problem solved.

Prove me wrong, Pepper.. We are the murder capitol of the world. Show mw another city that has as many murdered more than Chicago in a single category year?
Like I have been saying for years, rather than remedying the problem, they deal with the symptom by migrating the problem from one area to another. Anyone notice the recent shootings in the 7200-7400 Hoyne area recently. Then again, these are only criminally active youth "expressing their hopelessness by their violent outbursts."

This practice makes it look like the po-po are doing SOMETHING; now they can report X number of gang suppression events and we are supposed to be impressed. HA! More smoke and mirrors and shiney objects to distract us. Mayor Rahmbot and his po-po Superintendant McCarthy are trying to fool us once again.
.
The picture at the head of this post is very distracting...what is the female officer taking a picture of and why is the young gentleman holding shis shirt up?
Juarez, Mexico for starters. Approximately 3000 murders in 2010 and growing.

That's private murder. Militarily induced murder, oh - name a city our country has "intervened" in lately.
Keep growling, though. Really helps this community by riling up your base. It's almost as helpful as volunteering, looking up facts with a google search or, you know, putting down the bottle and helping fix something in person.
Wow. Just read that story. 8 murders a day in Juarez, Mexico. I just corrected the story.
Just as we have a hunting season for deer or pheasant or wabbit, we should have a hunting season for the po-po to shoot "criminally active youth" and known gang members. This season would last no more than, say, two weeks initially. It would thin the herd of these lost souls, make lives better for the rest of us, and get some real benefits for the money we spend on the po-po salaries and their equipment. To make things more interesting, the gang dudes could shoot back with no consequences other than possibly getting killed. It would make for an exciting few days in Chicago.
.
BTW - there is no "fix" for this problem that the rational citizens of Chicago or the political or religious parasites can introduce.
You can't trust anybody who holds an authoritative position within religion, they are no different than somebody who is an expert on Harry Potter or any other fiction, they are simply adults who waste their lives on fairytales and live in the past exclusively.
Excuse me while I suck down a double cheeseburger while taking the lord's name in vain.
Interesting. All about the numbers and the smoke/mirrors. Is this a photo of an actual stop and frisk?
