A "Bang" for your Buck

When hearing "bang", the first thought is, " oh...it's the Morse Avenue Gun Shooting Range again". Call Ceasefire and let's have a parade/march/vigil/prayer/speech. But no, it is the holiday season and "bang" means something different this time, Holiday Shopping, Morse Avenue style! You will find no fancy garland or decorations on the street lamps, no ribbons or bows around their poles. The street trees have no lights because most trees left standing, have broken limbs.

We at the "morsehellhole" wanted to offer you a real holiday shopping guide. A guide to some of the longest standing businesses in "The Broken Heart of Rogers Park". Just like the cockroach, these businesses thrive under the harshness conditions. Many businesses have come and gone, but in-between and through-out the boarded up windows and security gated bars, around all the bullet holes and "For Rent" signs are "3 Corner Dollars Stores on Morse Avenue" worth a buck to check out. Let's tour The Dollar Store's of Morse Avenue.

Kevin who was quoted as saying... "I can't wait for Family Dollar to take over the old Osco Spot, they are different, they have a fancy website!"

This advertising is a kick. I can put up posters and with-in hours they are taken down.

Old CAPS posters left up promoting a September meeting, right next to my poster stays, but mine goes, even the hard to find ones I place like an easter egg hunt, these guys find them and collect them.

There is most likely a special line item on SSA #24, to Collect Craig's flyer's.

I must be doing something right?

Muddy Puddle,

This happened to me too, but the conversation was different not stem cell research but what I thought was sexual orientation 101, I posted this on forum49 back in February.

Sunday - February 8, 2004 at 9:20 am, on the Northwest side of the 1400 W. Morse Avenue, two black males and one female were gathered together.

While walking west with my pet pit bull dog on a leash, one black male asked if I was straight. The female begged me for a cigarette.

I told the guy, Yes, I was straight, but my Dad is Gay. I told the female NO I didn't have a smoke.

At 9:30 am, heading back east on the Southwest side of the 1400 block of West Morse Avenue by Osco, I witnessed the black female from the 1400 Block West Morse 10 minutes earlier.

She was now panhandling a senior citizen, in the Osco Parking lot, the senior citizen seems very, very upset.

At 9:33 am, as I was watching her do a couple more panhandle attempts, on a couple more unhappy seniors, I witnessed now, that she coming towards me in a hostile manner, clearly under the influence of something she started screaming at me!

" I'm Gunna Kill You," I'm Gunna Kill You," I'm Gunna Kill You." Stop following me or I'm Gunna Kill You"!!!

How true, going by the Dollar Store by the EL stinks of urine, you should have gotten a photo of that stain marked part of the Morse sidewalk. You got photos of all the other stains.

How can you be obssessed with that shitty neighborhood? It's one of the worst neighborhoods in North America-little culture, filthy, and dangerous. You write this as if you have the last of the Mohicans sequestered in that shit neighborhood, and if you can expose enough of the injustice and putrid qualities, then he will be freed. Stop bitching about the place and move out. Hell, I'm suprised your pc hasn't been stolen yet.

Mark,

Thanks for reading, please try to read it as I wrote it, it states "a broker in this property", not for the property.

"Connie Abels, the broker in this property"
