Our youngest family member Patrick captured his second National title in as many years. We started the season in Tennessee with a win and finished the season in Vermont and another win. In all, we competed in 10 events in 5 different states. Plus competing in nine Wisconsin sanctioned events. We have found travelling across the country to compete against North American's best motorcycle competitors requires teamwork, sacrifice, hard work, more hard work, lot's of practice, perfect timing, lot's of skill and a little luck.
At 14, Patrick knows what it takes to be a winner. Here are a few photos of the racing family this year during competition.
Patrick Smage-2003-2004 - American Motorcyclist Association - National Champion / 2004 Wisconsin State Champion.
Phillip Smage-2003 Wisconsin State Champion/2004 Runner-up / 2004 American Motorcyclist Association 7th place Expert
My oldest cousin Mr. Fix-it, Bill Smage, the mechanic.
Here is a photo of Noel and Phillip, they were observers, (referee's) for the event.
Patrick and Phillip in May at the Colorado National, we shipped the bikes out and flew to the event, the first time we ever did that. Patrick had school on Monday and driving 1200 miles back and making class would have been impossible. Patrick took first place.
