To build Kimberly Bares her office, Mr. Coe by-passes safety for danger.
Early Monday morning, a brick wall collapses on the Greenview side of the DevCorp North project. Said the next door neighbor, "It felt like a bomb went off.... it woke me up right away! I think they are trying to get rid of me".
But the neighborhood safety issues don't stop there. Mr. Coe has his demolition site totally exposed to the neighborhood kids. Police tape lines the site.
With wide open access for everyone including children, this mass of twisted metal, broken glass, split wood and broken bricks is a accident waiting to happen.
No one who can do anything cares. According to Mary Jane Haggerty with Rogers Park Community Council," Nothing will be done to fix it ( the fence-less situation ) until someone gets hurt... that's just how it works."
And that's just fine with Alderman Moore and Kimberly Bares. These two clueless leaders still believe Mr. Coe is a good neighbor. Do you?
