* Special Service Area #19-24 Scandal

Power Washing The Commissioners Property Only
Blocking sidewalk
When it comes to service for the Special Service Area properties, this property gets the (Royal) - (Treatment).

Windows get washed at the taxpayers expense, snow gets shoveled. While all other businesses don't get this same special treatment, this building does.

Today the Special Service Area janitors office/Special Service Area commissioner property was blocked to foot traffic so the sidewalk could be power washed. More special work for a special person with clout.

I asked Mark Semon if all the other properties along the Special Service Area 19 and 24 were going to be power/pressure washed also. Mark Semon said "No...Just this one"!

Asked if he got a permit from the City of Chicago to block the sidewalk, Mark Semon said, " No Comment!"

I asked if the Special Service Area commisioners voted on this power washing activity? Mark Semon said, "Talk to the boss"!

But the so-called boss wasn't talking, except on the phone. When I asked for her to speak, she went inside quickly, running for cover.
Big Boy Pressure washer
Here is the bad boy power washer. The owner didn't want to give me a demo on how it worked. He had "no comment" either.

As some seniors from 1250 W. Morse, Morningside Senior building walked west, they were forced into the street of Morse Avenue because of this big monster. This nearly exact location is where a week earlier, one of their own seniors got hit by car and died. Walking in the street. Not one of the DevCorp workers helped direct them around the sidewalk barricade or explained why the sidewalk was blocked off.

The seniors were not happy having to cross into the dangerous street of Morse Avenue. As the community mourns the death of one, DevCorp North jeopardizes the lifes of others.
No comment Mark
Here is the tight lipped Mark Semon along with the PSI Pressure washer man. A suburban business no less. Couldn't DevCorp North find a City of Chicago Pressure Washing Company? And speaking of Pressure Washers, didn't DevCorp North claim to already own one? Check the garage next to the expensive tractor and sidewalk sweeper that are collecting dust. Let me know what you find?
