The Taqueria-Entre-Amigos taco joint next to the closed Duds and Suds closed quietly, with-out notice or fan-fare. The taco joint was located at 1343 West Morse.
Add this now shuttered business to the list of washed away dreams. The American dream of owning a business on a highly taxed commercial district.
With all the wonderful things Morse Avenue has to offer, why would any fast, cheap food business close shop and not come back?
Was it the bullet that came barreling through the window almost taking out the cook? (Check the square board up job, that was caused by the flying bullet.)
Was it the numerous stick-ups & hold-ups demanding money?
Was it because they wouldn't join the DevCorp North Mafia and got run off the street for not paying their " juice to the man"?
Afraid or scared to rat out the real reason the taco joint owner left Morse Avenue in such a rush, one business owner pointed his finger east and said...." it was that business owners fault the taco joint owner split the hood."
Gossip from another store owner who wasn't willing to go on record said "the ma and pa taco joint owners were dealing Crack." Maybe that may explain the bullet hole?

I ate there many times and I never saw anything suspicious. Most of the time there were families with children in there and the approx. 10 year old daughter ran the cash register. The one guy who does some work for them is a drunk, but he's a docile one that I've seen- just a sad case and he'll die prematurely at the rate he's going.
I am skeptical of this anonymous innuendo.
BTW- They told me they have another location on Clark Street and were keeping that one open.
