Exclusive Wide Angle Shot for jeff-o
The empty boxes, broken shelves and junk dumped on Mr. Coe was removed today after a earlier blog report. This ends hours of speculation and neighborhood guessing pools on how much longer this garbage and mess would be piled in the Coe hole.
The Coe hole was cleaned in "about 30 minutes" according to a nosy neighbor on Morse Avenue who spoke on condition of anonymity because she was not authorized to speak to the media.
The tree was still missing as of this report.

Our Village Elders gave themselves a raise Sunday!
Wouldn't it be lovely if our elected officials had to account for what they actually do during every hour they work for their salaries, like many of us working in the private sector have to. I'd love to know how many hours Joe "billed" the taxpayers for frivolity like the great foie gras struggle of 2005! It would be especially funny if the hours had to be adjusted so that any "work" that met a certain threshold of self promotion of the candidate, whoops, I mean the official, would have to be struck off. So, for example, Joe going on WTTW to speak to Phil Ponce about the fate of ducks wouldn't count as billable work hours. The pie charts would be comical.
By the way, what's up with the f-ing tree slaughter on Morse. What do these people have against innocent trees? Are they ever going to be required to replace them?
Haven't you heard? Progress is coming to Morse Avenue. Parkway trees are in the way of progress, right smack between the tear-down and the dumpster. Pre-emptively take out the trees, take away an issue from Rogers Park's tree-hugger types.
The City will replace parkway trees for free, but the owner has to call and ask. The City does not pro-actively go out and look for dead trees that need replacing. In other words, if you don't like the parkway tree in fornt of your property, you can chop it down and it stays gone.
