* 2006 - New Bricks - Same Bars

In so many way's, this is just WRONG. Not the excellent new brick laying work on this side of the building. Look closer. Read deeper.

Last year I featured this building and it's crumbling bricks. Well... hoo-ray and yahoo, they were forced to fix the wall. It was falling apart.

But really now, did these stores have to put those tacky security gates back up?

According to DevCorp North, this neighborhood isn't that dangerous? Merchants shouldn't need this type of security. If you actually believe it, (and some mute souls do) in their newest DevCorp North Journal, DevCorp North falls all over themselves, claiming accomplishments and successes.

Month by month accomplishments and successes no less.

Economic success in January.

Security success in July.

Landscaping success.

Even the December holiday decoration success.

2005 was a good year for DevCorp North.... If you ask Ms. Kimmy Bares.

DevCorp North Offers Predictions Too

One such vision the little DevCorp North Journal (Winter 2006-page 10) told us was DevCorp North was to put an end to the exterior security gates along the commercial districts of Special Service Area #19 and 24.

The propaganda was titled "DevCorp North launches campaign to remove exterior metal gates!"

* Did DevCorp North's Ms. Kimmy Bares mention to Mr. Lee before they put the gates on the outside Ms. Kimmy didn't have this facade look in the 2006 DevCorp North Propaganda Journal?

* Where was our Rogers Park visionary Kimmy Bares at DevCorp North while this work was being done? On some exotic vacation?

<-- Two.) Here's another one where you have to look at the photo closer. What's the deal with cutting down the tree in the sidewalk along Morse Avenue? This street and the poor trees are endangered like a national forest. I counted five trees in the 1400 block of West Morse that were destroyed. Here is one in front of Mr. Lee's building.

Three.) Take a look at the empty boxes, broken shelves and junk the building owners construction crew dumped on his neighbor Mr. Coe, shown in this photograph.-->

If it wasn't for the rain, I could have shown you a close up photo of what the boxes had on top last week. I just missed a good photo at the time, when I didn't have my camera. It was throw up. Human waste. Rat food. Someone let nasty chow fly on the top of the boxes! Yes, last week and I missed the shot.

These boxes and trash have been sitting in the Coe empty hole for a while. Did only the Morse Hell Hole notice this rodent home was there?

* Where are the Special Service Area janitors who walk by this daily on their clean-ups?

* Or the high paid managers who supervise them? Or anyone in charge like Ms. Kimmy? Couldn't they not have spotted this pile of trash?

* Let's also including the new 49th ward Street's and Sanitation superintendent. Where was he?

And a real big notice. Did you notice is the third photograph down where the construction workers only re-bricked on two sides of the building? Not all four. Again, this property was forced to fix the building and the falling bricks, not two sides. Is Mr. Lee hoping Mr. Coe will cover this up for him when Mr. Coe builds his wall?

Mr. Coe, you too, the person who owns the property these boxes and garbage were fly dumped on. Doesn't anyone walk around anymore? Is it that dangerous at Morse and Greenview?

Where is that little extra-extra service tax #24 when you need it? As one of my readers Sally asks, who's at the wheel around here? From the looks of things it sure isn't Alderman Moore or DevCorp North!
