* Car Break-In's Plague CAPS Beat 2431

The new condo residents at 1225 West Morse Avenue have been under attack from a rash of car break-ins recently in the enclosed parking garage located on the first floor of the old warehouse.

Acting building manager Gregory Altman who also is owner of the Morseland Night Club was puzzled at the extent of the number of break-ins over a six week period. Altman claimed 6, a resident at the meeting said there have been 10.

Altman has tried everything to keep the break-ins from happening, at one point hiring his own private security which was not effective.

The enclosed garage door is electronic, opened by a thing called a remote "clicker," prompting the CAPS officer to ask if it was an inside job. Altman answered he didn't think it was.

According to Altman, they have a visual photograph of one person and have turned that image over to the police. Altman claims all break-ins were reported to the police. CAPS beat 2431 facilitator Kevin O'Neil said none of the car break-ins showed up on the I-CAM reports.
