* Illegal Electioneering By Team Fagus
Craig,
"The fourth batch of signs disappeared from Gale School.
I replaced the ones they yanked from Sheridan Road twice now. Maybe they're paying a bounty for them? Only the Forrest Claypool signs are gone! All the others (candidates) are still in place.
Also ran off four guys for electioneering with 100'. Everyone apologized and said they were just getting warm, almost like they had been told to say that if someone confronted them.
There is no way someone didn't organize this."

Blognotes:
Thanks James
Here we have Craig Berryhill. He works for David Fagus and Alderman Moore in the 49th ward democrats. Here Mr. Berryhill is at Gale School with his southside buddies.
Guess what, these campaigners aren't from our neighborhood, they were recruited. They were 10 feet from the front door in this photograph. Craig Berryhill and his campaign workers just exited the polling place with all campaign materials in hand. Clearly, an illegal violation.
James is right. I put over a dozen signs around Gale School and they mysteriously disappeared too.
Slimeball tactics from the David Fagus gang.

THANK YOU FOR GETTING THIS GUY IN ACTION! GOOD WORK. Berryhill and Ms. C were outside Gale when I voted this morning. He knows who I am. We had a cold winter go round during the last election while I stayed outside the 50 foot markers and he walked people up to the door talking and handing out brochures. All inside the no politickin zone. Mr. F and Mr. B heard about it, the election officers heard about it (several times I understand) but NOTHING WAS DONE. Imagine that.
I deliberately walked by Gale on my way home from work and Mr. B was there and sort of disappeared.
But I did get to sign the petition for universal health care.
Berryhill? I know who he is, but I don't know him personally. Old-timers know him. He possibly has a 'city job'. Any other readers know?
How does he get away with it? He's part of the Moore Machine.
Berryhill and Van Man! Yep, we know who they are and now they know what we know and it's on the Internet. Anyone know an election judge's email address?
I encourage all of you who witnessed these incidents to put preesure on the office of States' Attorney Dick Devine to prosecute these sleazeballs to the fullest extent of the law. Devine must be made to take action (in the past, he has been too willing to avoid prosecuting).

craig, james, toni-
as i commented on 24/7 this morning, numerous responsibilities prevented my participation yesterday and i appreciate all of your efforts exposing what seem to be questionable electioneering tactics, to be charitable. the newspapers this morning also hinted at lost ballots and confusion, etc.
toni's eyewitness account:
"Then I went inside to vote this morning, and there was my 'friend'. He's harmless, but a neighborhood small time dealer, so what goes? I doubt many people need a road map to figure out what happens North of Howard!"
this is an outrage. my neighbors noh are on the receiving end of this intimidation everyday in the buildings that they live in. this should not be allowed at a polling station.
toni asked for assistance to make sure our noh neighbors understand their rights as voters and i have suggested a coordinated effort so that we do not have a repeat of this intimidation in november. the rules are there for all to follow, not just a chosen few who decide for themselves that they are above the law.
she also suggested an "enforcer" be at the polling place in november. hhmmm, let's see. looks like that day is totally open on my calendar.
thanx again, everyone.
Mr. Barryhill works for the Clerk of the Circut Court.
julie-
hey, thanx. they're exactly who i was thinking about contacting.
So Mr. Berryhill's immediate boss is Dorothy Brown? Isn't she known as 'truck lady'? His ultimate boss is Richard.
When I refer to 'enforcer' I mean the kind of person in a uniform to arrest people like Berryhill. I didn't notice any policemen in Gale yesterday. I thought police usually manned polls, they used to elsewhere in this city.
