For your springiness pleasure, eidolon is offering two classes. Join us in the darkroom and develop your own negatives. Or, come get dirty in one of our handbuilding with clay classes.
If a class doesn't fit your needs, we also offer hourly, daily, and monthly rental options for the darkroom and potter's wheel - and kiln firing services. Each week, we have over 40 hours of open studio time available.
HANDBUILDING WITH CLAY 4 weeks, $125
A 4-week intensive on handbuilding with clay. Pinch pots, coil pots and slab pots can be explored. Or perhaps you are interested in sculpting! This happens too! It all depends on your interest and what you can do in 4 weeks. The class is non-structured, but I will be here to help each person individually create what they want. If you are unsure of what you want to do, then we'll explore different techniques to find one that you like.
We spend 4 classes creating our pieces. A week's break is taken (so our pieces can dry) and then we come back to glaze our pieces. For the last class swing by and pick up your art. If people are interested, we can use this time to critique each other's work, discuss how the clay and glazes worked, and usually enjoy a potluck together. If not, then just come by to take your art home.
