* "They Stole All My Blunts"

4 AM Alarm Alerts Authorities

Owner Said He Has Had Enough

This early morning break-in at the Lunt Avenue El Store located at 1401 West Lunt caused the most recent store owner to wonder, " What's going on around here"? "This is how they treat a good man"? And finished with the all famous quote, "I do a lot of the community," said the sad owner who didn't want to be identified.

Items most sought after were the cigarettes, pre-paid phone cards and $500 dollars worth of blunts. The store owner seemed most concerned with the later item proclaiming "They Stole All My Blunts"! "What am I going to do?"

At one time this store stocked most all little needs for a quick stop. Kinda like a little White Hen Pantry. Not anymore. Over the past year, this stores stock as been reduced to selling mostly 25 cent chip bags, blue juice in a 8 oz plastic bottle and blunts. With his inventory wiped out, this may be his last straw at running this business.

The brazenly bold blunt crooks finished the job by taking the cash register up to the Morse Avenue CTA El stop and busting it open like a Pinatas. Inside the busted up register was "about $130 dollars," said the store owner, who was left with nothing but broken parts. He said the crooks entered the CTA station from the Lunt Avenue side. " If there was any video security I'm sure a camera caught who did this"?

He said," the police came, fingerprints were taken and with any luck, the criminals will be caught a prosecuted."

Blognotes: This small little chip-juice & blunt store is on it's third owner in as many years.
