In the 49th ward there are 18,369 registered voters this time around. Only 5,065 voted. 389-49th warders voted a Republican ticket. 13,304 registered voters just plain sat this election cycle out. 4379 of those 5,065 voted for Aunt Jan. Did you know that could translate to 686 write-in votes for me? Are we still counting votes?
Did you know you were suppose to change your clocks back one hour Sunday morning at 2 am?
Did you know Morse and Glenwood Open Air Drug Market Area began Monday-Tuesday street cleaning in the morning between 7 am and 9 am on April 1st? Or is it Tuesday-Wednesday? Maybe it's Tuesday-Thursday? Anyhow, look for the sign or it's a juicy revenue generating fine.
Did you know there is some condo board cat-fighting going on at the Howard Hell Hole?

Don't know about you but I set my clocks forward.
Spring Forward - Fall Back
Less than 4,700 Democratic votes were cast in the 49th Ward in the Primary. That almost certainly means that the ward remain dead last among North Side wards in Democratic votes cast, a dubious honor that the ward has held for every election since Committeeman David Fagus started kissing Alderman Moore's political butt back in 1994.
Is it any wonder why the ward continues to get screwed in terms of its fair share of services from all levels of government?

Claypool did beat Stroger by 749 votes in our ward. Will our local politicians notice that?
