Chalk one up to good police work. At 6:30 p.m., the Chicago Police raided the Dollar Buster #22 store at 7354 N. Clark Street and hauled away the alleged ringleader of the massive illegal fireworks operation. According to one detective, "there was enough firepower to blow up the neighborhood!" Included in the illegal stash were 1/4 sticks of dynamite said one detective.
A lady who shops the Dollar store asked one of the officers why the store was being targeted. The lady said the owner was a good man. "Good men don't sell this type of merchandise," responded one the detectives.
This was the hardest shots of all. As I was waiting to take a photograph of the stash (three boxes and one large bag of goodies) that was being hauled away, a detective took my camera from me. This ended the good news story. This one detective wrote up a white index card on me. He was asking me all sorts of questions, where I worked and my address, social security number, you know, the works. It seemed like a huge waste of time and manpower as his fellow officers knew who I was and what I was doing. I politely answered all his questions. Even before the index card write-up routine, I told him who I was.
With-in minutes after the Chicago Police left with the shop owner and illegal fireworks, the store opened it's doors for business again.

Great shots Craig! I heart the Hole!
Must check to see if this is the one and only Commander Bruce Rottner reading this shitty little blog?
Ha! Most cops in 24 have no clue about a lot of things though.
