* Mike the Knife

Tonight at 8:50p.m. a man with a knife named Mike stabbed the one and only, Mr. "Broken Heart" of Rogers Park.

That's right folks, I got poked. With a knife. In the stomach.

Did it hurt? What do you think after being stuck with a knife in the stomach?

Then... the chump ran. Like a coward.

I think I have a few people who don't like me. Not to mention Mike the knife.

Blognotes: Yes, I called 911.

Sorry to hear what happened. Glad to see that it was not more serious. Do you this goof? Or did someone just know the first name. I hope the police catch this asshole. Where did the knifeing actually happen?

Take care Be safe!!! Many may hate you but I think more care about you!!

I have worried about you in this regard. As far as I'm concerned anyone who harms you is playing with fire. Please let us know if there is anything we can do. I am assuming you know who this person is and will press charges.

Craig, you aren’t taking full credit. Folks, here is the part Craig didn't tell you. I was there. This guy who pulled the knife became irritated because Craig attempted to move some barstools down the bar a bit so that four elderly people (regulars, I believe) who had entered the bar could sit at the bar together. It was a kind effort and there was plenty of room for everyone. He was just allowing them to sit together and it was nice of him to lift the barstools for them since he was younger. I can only guess that Craig acting as a gentleman set the guy off. It all happened really fast.

Hey Craig, when I saw you this morning I hadn't read the blog yet, so I didn't know about the knifing. Good to see it hasn't slowed you down.

If you can, a description of Mike might be helpful. He's a threat to all of us. Craig, hope you heal quickly and fully.

Craig, I am so sorry to hear that you were attacked. I hope you are doing well. This kind of senseless violence has no business in any neighborhood, and I hope they catch the offender quickly.

I forgot to mention that as Craig was moving the barstools for these people he mentioned to me that he feels like he needs to watch out for the elderly since his dad passed away. Nice...and then he gets a knife pulled on him.

Craig- alot of people like you- many more than don't I'd venture a guess. We are glad you are OK.
