* Boy Flees Scene After Being Shot in the Back

Around rush hour, 5:15 pm-ish, there were calls of shots fired from a gun in the 7600 block of North Paulina. Witnesses say a boy in his teens - wearing a black jacket with a gold stripe down the sides of the jacket, was alleged shot in the back.

A witness said the guy who got shot in the back alleged jumped into a green van and took off.

The alleged offender and gun, a possible 380 automatic, headed west on Jonquil. He was said to be between 6 foot and 6 foot 2 inches tall, about 160lbs. The shooter was said to have short braided hair.

By the time the police officers got on scene, the alleged offender and alleged victim had left the scene for safer ground.

After checking area hospitals, the police found the 18 or 19-year-old victim at Evanston Hospital. He is not cooperating with the police. No word who will be covering his un-cooperative shooting victims hospital bill at this time.

Blognotes: In case you're not keeping track, that's two incidents of crime reported that the victim has refused police help in the past two day's.
