I'm Paul's father. Paul was raised in Rogers Park and our family still lives here.
I can understand the attitude of "He's 19. Let him do what he wants." The difference here is that he left a note in his dorm room at Grinnell College indicating an intent to commit suicide. The failure to find a body after an intensive search gives us hope he either changed his mind or never intended to take his life and instead is on a walkabout.
Because there is a chance it is the former, we want to find him ASAP before he changes his mind again. We have concentrated our search efforts on Chicago because he loves the city.
But he could be anywhere.
We created a web site with a bit more information and links to posters for those interested in helping.

Steve, I have seen the flyers everywhere. Also, my friend told me that her whole church prayed for this boy on Sunday.
