* 49th Ward Flip Off

Here we have one of Alderman Moore's worker bees. I've featured her before. Today she wasn't helping the governor or the county board presidents race. She was out gathering signatures for Alderman Moore to be on the ballot in February at precinct 9, located at 1263 W. Pratt. It's called the Seville Apartments. She saw me coming and went into the precinct for cover.

Once in the precinct, she made a beeline for the brown bag that read Pct. 9 on the outside of it - and put the petition sheet and clipboard inside, as to hide it from me. This bag was located directly behind the judges table and polling booths.

Here is what she was hiding, Joe Moore's petitions sheet. But not very well mind you. Why was she hiding this from me? Who knows, maybe she was embarrassed to be helping Joe? I know I would be.

While there is nothing illegal about this, it sure is unsavory to use the power of the incumbency to secure signatures so close to the door, while the other candidates are doing this activity behind the mandatory blue cones.

Not to mention how rude it is to flip off the photographer while doing it.

I think she was trying to say "We're number 1!"

Good work Craig. All though I'm guessing these infractions are considered "minor," I'm wondering if they can be reported to some "higher authority."

you wrote: "She saw me coming and went into the precinct for cover."

Does every shifty individual in this neighborhood run into the nearest building lobby/foyer to hide?

That's so nice. She's going to go places in politics.
