* Mysterious Snow Remover Appears
I know the Special Service Area #24 tax levy has a taxpayer funded tractor to remove the snow. I know the Special Service Area #24 tax levy has food stamp to work - reflective vested janitors with hand shovels removing snow. That's when they get around to it. (See below)
But when I saw a motorized snowblower being operated by a unknown man without any sign of working under a government contact, (ie: DevCorp North vest) I wanted to know who the good Samaritan was. After all, he was removing snow along Glenwood Avenue, from Morse to Greenview. Right along the Special Service Area #24 route.
Did DevCorp North bring in a snow removal ringer? Was this a sub-sub contractor voted on by the Special Service Area #24 tax levy commissioners? Or was this a janitor who forgot to wear his official DevCorp North vest? I wanted to find out.
When I asked the snow remover if he was working for the SSA or DevCorp North or any other city agency - the mysterious snowblowing man answered, "No comment, I have no comment!" Why are they always so secret and stand-offish over at the place? Didn't he want a little snow removal credit? All I wanted to do is properly thank him for doing such a good job.
