* People of the Year '06 - Part 2

-The Self-Censorist Award-

We all love to read the comments. We also like to know who makes the comments, but that's another story. This year one person who did put his name to a lot of comments was Thomas Westgard - AKA 'Giblet the Goose' or better known as Tomblogger #1. Westgard left so many comments - one commenter said it made his head explode.

So, explode we will, with a new award this year.

It seems our very own Thomas Westgard had a change of heart whenever he posted on the 'Broken Heart'. Westgard spent the best part of his day and evening hours reviewing and removing everything he ever posted in this blog. The 'Broken Heart' wonders - Where did he find the time to start eight blogs of his own?

Back to the 'Broken Heart'. Westgard deleted over 400 comments on the Hell Hole blog this year. Maybe more? I lost count. I guess he doesn't even believe in his own words and what he's saying either?

He removed comments like where the Alderman should buy his widget. Whatever a widget may be? Westgard spend a better part of 2006 writing and removing his work in the 'Broken Heart' - we had to acknowledge his efforts.

For a man who can't honor his words enough to keep them public, is this man not to be trusted with the written word. Congratulations to you Thomas Westgard. Way to write a bunch of words - then take them all away. With that we give Thomas Westgard the 'Self-Censorist' of 2006 award with honor.

Blognotes: In 2006 things changed for Attorney Thomas Westgard. Like Anne Sullivan after him, Westard left one candidate he believed was the saviour (Alderman Moore) - and went for another. Westgard thus earned runner up in the 2006 'Traitor of the Year' award, which was won by Anne Sullivan this year.

Craig:

Why don't you endorse one of the candidates running against Joe Moore? Put your resources behind a candidate that could make the changes you want in RP.

That would be too simple. You really don't want a replacement for Joe Moore. So you pick on AS and TW. So much easier to critize others than make to make a decision that might be held up to criticism by others someday.

You're getting to sound like a broken record.

Thank you for the award.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to create a better future for Rogers Park in 2007 and beyond. We need thriving business, secure housing, safe streets, and healthcare, among other things. All of these start with a qualified, hard-working alderman who has broad community support. This is within your power to achieve.

This message will self-destruct in ten days or less.
