* Six Children Will Never See 'Happy Feet'

Our Alderman was busy: Some would call it buying votes. Some would call it pandering. Here in our photo essay we have a free movie giveaway for the kids. Flyers were printed in the alderman's famous orange paper. Then the Alderman used his vast network of connections and passed out these flyers on short notice to the local school children in two languages. The kids flocked to and packed the theatre in droves. By 'political stunt' standards, this was a winner.

But my question is, how in the world could these very young kids get these political looking flyers so quickly and so fast unless a school was involved?

Did Alderman Moore have a school teacher or administrator help during school hours? Did someone on the school board offer a hand?

I find it impossible to think these flyers were hung door to door or taped to buildings and fences like this? These young kids were clutching the flyers so tightly - like if they lost it, it would have been the end of the world.

As the Alderman and his campaign team were out recruiting, pandering, intimidating or bribing voters - whatever you want to call it, just remember folks, six children will never get to see 'Happy Feet' or any other movie for that matter.

Funny, we had a similar situation, where our alderman, the honorable Helen Shiller, managed to hold a community meeting about a proposed development at the southeast corner of Irving Park and Broadway, but didn't think it was necessary to let the community know.

To flyer or not to flyer, that is the question.

And if you do flyer, how do you get the flyer only to those people who you want to participate?

You see, you wouldn't want to give access and information to people who wouldn't vote for you or to people who might not like what you have to say, or might make things a little difficult for you. You wouldn't have to actually listen to your constituents and be accountable that way.

JoMo and Helen are like two peas in a pod, which is why you can snap photos of them having lunch together, plotting their next underhanded moves.

Taking Care of U:

Why would Joe Moore play a movie in Spanish? Then he would discriminate towards polish speaking citizens and so on... Think before you post.

Here is a good idea. Maybe we should all learn English language so we would not have this argument. And for those who do not, should not feel bad for themselves.

Nice work Jordan... taking_care_of_u, the master of passive-aggressivism, has duped you with his "reverse psychology" wizardry...

I too fell for it once. It's really quite good.
