* Danger @ The GreenMoore
It looks like Alderman Moore's pal Robert Coe is starting his build with the same he started (and finished) his demolition. By endangering the community in the process. For anyone who has walked down Greenview Avenue in the past three (3) day you've noticed....
A.) The flimsy security fence has been blown over, causing people to get off the sidewalk or trip on the downed fence, making it difficult to haul groceries or laundry home.
B.) The downed security fence exposes sharp metal objects that construction people use to build with like re-barb. This also invites curious youngsters a chance at easy access to get hurt real bad.
C.) The unsafe - safety fence just looks like no one cares about the community's well being.
Conclusion: Alderman Moore doesn't care about what goes on in the 49th ward. Otherwise he or one of his vast network of helpers would have noticed this dangerous fence conditions 3 day's ago and corrected the problem right away.
The only thing Alderman Moore cares about is if Mr. Coe's campaign contribution check clears the bank without bouncing.

killcat, I think "3 days" is the pertinent phrase here. I believe it is the developer's and construction crew's obligation to monitor their site for both safety and security. Given the relatively recent history Coe has had with the Morse Ave. project, one would think he would be more diligent with this one AND that Alderman Moore's office would hold him to a higher standard of care and consideration for the community. What happened on Morse Ave. could have had catastrophic consequences. The idea here is to see to it that a repeat of that potential danger does not happen on Howard Street. To answer your earlier question, yes, this IS an issue. At this point ANY infraction of security or safety measures for this site is bound to become an issue - as well it should.
