Why: Cost $7 for breakfast
Blognotes: So when did our Alderman's political action committee, posing as a neighborhood not-for-profit, get into the business of making money off this election season? Don't they pick the taxpayers pockets enough already?
Only in Rogers Park. And 7:30 a.m. in the morning - give us a break DevCorp. Are you guys out of your minds? Are you purposely trying to keep people away and those that do come - you try to make a buck off of it? Why not dig into those deep coffers of your's and flip for breakfast? I smell a rat.

Is that fee to recover the costs of the breakfast or does it in fact include a markup? Is DevCorp bringing the food or is the No Exit doing that work? Would help to know before deciding DevCorp is trying to make money off the deal.

I'd sure like to see the breakdown of the costs. maybe they'll bring a budget?
At the SSA meeting, they served free food.
Plus, the Alderman is all behind this newfangled kids free breakfast program, why not make it universal, and start now?
One more thing, $7 bucks for breakfast, really? Can I bring my own cereal instead?

In my opinion, it's a way to make money on the election process. This seems like a elitist process to view the candidates.
Gee Craig. I can't imagine how up at arms you would be if they served a free $7.00 meal to all comers.
