* Strong Arm Robbery on Lunt Avenue

The Quick Stop Store at 1401 West Lunt Avenue, a business that can't even afford to pay workers a 'living wage', got robbed yesterday around noon by two unknown height and weight black individuals who came from and fled to the Morse Avenue CTA el, via the Lunt Avenue side. One offender pushed the owner aside and cleaned out the cash register of about $50 dollars, the other offender kept the door closed, acting as a look-out.

The elderly shop-keeper, who didn't want to be identified said, "It happened so fast - I was scared for my life. This is no way to earn a living, it's not safe around here!"

The owner of the store said he, "I called 911 and made a report." When asked if he thought that 'crime is down', the owner answered, "I don't think so, not around here."
