Let's take a break from our ongoing exploration of Joe Moore's campaign funding and take a quick look at the expenditures side in the light of Tuesday's results.

In 2006, the last period for which expenditure figures are currently available, Moore spent $14 for every dollar Gordon spent. Each vote Moore garnered cost Moore more than 8 times more than Don Gordon. I think this says a lot about who has support on the ground in the 49th Ward, and who is the candidate of moneyed interests.
