* Gordon vs. Moore Hearing (Updated)

Some of you have been asking about the rescheduled time for the hearing and the location. It's this afternoon at 1:30 in room 1704 at the Daley Center. These hearings are public hearings so feel free to attend if you'd like.

This hearing is scheduled because last week, on Tuesday morning, May 22, attorneys for the parties in the case of Don Gordon, et al., v. Joe Moore, et al., appeared in court before Judge Nathaniel Howse. Plaintiff Blane Roberts, through his counsel, presented a Motion for Substitution of Judge as of Right. Both Joe Moore and the Chicago Board of Elections objected on the basis that the additional 3 plaintiffs in the case do not have a right to request a substitution of judge.

A briefing schedule was set for responses and replies to that motion. This afternoon is the hearing so that Judge Howse can rule on that.

Hearings on all other pending matters were continued, or postponed, until after a ruling on the Motion for Substitution. Should Howse rule in our favor, then our attorneys will go directly to the chief judge to have him draw another name. Once that's done, they'll go right over to see the new judge to get a revised schedule for the hearings for the Motions to Dismiss.

Thanks,

Don Gordon

Thurday Update: To be continued. This case will now be brought before judge number four.

Yeah. Or, Don has a big money backer. We know Don's not paying for this out-of-pocket since he's unemployed. And his shyster lawyer (and Lavelle IS a shyster!) is milking old Don for all he's worth. Delay, delay, delay and build up those billable hours!

I almost feel sorry for Don, being used by his hanger-on-ers like Harrington and miked for one last chance to AT LAST win something.

Venue shopping? Not so much. Weeding out the judges with potential conflicts of interest? Absolutely.

Moore must not be fretting, saw him at the Cubs game last night. Funny, he was ontime for that!

I'd love to know where Joe sits. I'd hire Ronnie Woo-Woo to woo-woo a few chants directly behind him for a few innings.

I saw him going into the park wearing one of those hideous hawaiian like shirts with cubs and wrigley logos all over it. Lost him when we got instead, which is a good thing, I might have accidently spilled something on him.
