* Where's the Police Report?

Finding a police report on this so-called twenty-something purse snatcher is getting as hard as finding the twenty-something purse snatcher him/herself.

That's because everyone in my 72 hour investigation never got a good look at the snatchers shoes. Only Joe. One wonders if Joe has a foot fetish?

The shoe and purse color are a very, very, very important part of the case. Because that's the only clue we have other than he/she is twentyish years old and very, very, very, fast.

If we had a police report, maybe things would be clearer.

Police reports are very, very, very important in tracking crime, without a police report, quite frankly, we have no crime. There is nothing officially on record to support these claims.

Like I said in the beginning, this could be one big hoax for all we know.

Somehow, Joe Moore forgot how the CAPS program works. Anyone who's ever attended a CAPS meeting more than once knows, if you see a crime, you need to call 911 and file a police report.

Otherwise, the police can't help. Otherwise, there is no record.

And you got to get a full description of what the offender(s) are wearing. Kinda of like the Fashion police.

This doesn't set a good example for the rest of us if our leader can't follow the Official CAPS manual.

Really now, if we were to follow Joe Moore, we'd all be chasing every twenty-somethings down the street for carrying a black purse and unmatching shoes.

But this theory doesn't hold much water either. One of the people I interviewed about the case thought the shoes and black purse matched just fine. She said everything goes with the color black.

If we had a police report, we would've had something more to go on. Other than his/her shoes didn't match his/her purse.

Because if that was the full case, with all the facts, we could classify that as a non-index crime and call the fashion police to issue a citation. Case closed.

Yeah. This is a MAJOR crime Craig...in MAYBERRY!

The gal got her purse back. The perp got the bejeesus scared out of him when neighbors gave chase. This probably won't even make the blotter of the News Star(ved) Newspaper. You're just making yourself look pathetic and Mannis-like by advancing your conspiracy theory.

thanks so much, craig, for showing once again how humor impaired the wingnut political community is.
i wouldn't have bothered with a police report on this, either. anyone who would obviously has way too much time on thier hands.

By the way Craig, why did you remove your threat hunt me down and expose my identity? Could it be because that would violate the terms of service for blogspot.com who hsts your site? Wouldn't it be amusing if the Grand High Blogger at Blogspot pulled Craig's plug?

And George W: the answer is no. You know you've hit bottom when you start commenting on Toni's and Mannis' blogs.

Wow. Interesting just how ready the disinformation squad is to pounce whenever a post critical of their keeper shows up.

About police reports. My understanding is the victim of a crime files the report, not witnesses. But you'd think it might occur to the alderman to encourage her to file one since the alleged perpertrators are still at large. Maybe he did and she didn't want to. It would be great to know that he at least made the effort.

Just how big does a crime have to be to count for you, bloggerdaddy? Do they have to beat the crap out of the next lady? Shoot her? Or does the next victim have to be you or someone you care about to count?

...hunt me down and expose my identity

Whew! More hyperbole from bloggerdaddy and so early in the day! Doesn't it give you indigestion? I recommend a diet of weak tea and dry toast for the next couple of days.

Craig probably has a pretty good idea who "you" are already. The wonders of modern technology and all that. See, no exposure! You dope.

While I understand that somw say "Graig why are you makeing a issue out of nothing"

Let's not forget it was joey who called the TV station, it was joey who stood in front of the carmera when the great full lady said " I am glad you got re- elected joe moore"

This is showing what a dishonest guy joe is, lies, fabrication, who cares, joey can do what he wants!

Why no police report, it is illegal to make a false report.

In the Marshall office;we catch & find alot of people from little Mayberry stories!

Craig,

I like to read your blog to find out what's going on in this neigborhood, but frankly your obsession digging at Joe Moore at every opportunity, regardless of whether or not the alderman even has an impact is, imho, ruining your credibility. You're beginning to sound more and more like a kook.

Please, keep up the reporting, but lay of the Joe Moore man-crush would ya?

About the alderman, I have no comment. If you live here I expect you'll discover what many of us already have in due course, as soon as you need some constituant service or other. Wishing you better luck with that than most of us have had.

About Craig: This blog has been going for years with daily content about this community. Some posts get many comments - occasionally 50 or more. No small feat. These comments can be interesting, informative, funny, silly, boring, occasionally offensive and sometimes quite degraded. I think it functions pretty well as one of the public squares of the 49th ward.

The really important thing isn't what Craig thinks about the world (except to those few who seem particularly, oddly, preoccupied with him, like bloggerdaddy). The important thing is the venue he provides to the community to share information, commentary, opinions, rants, sarcasm, insults, and whining, ideally in that order of magnitude.
