Last night Ceasefire held one circle prayer at the north east corner of Estes and Clark Street for show, then held another circle prayer across the street at the south west corner of Estes and Clark Street minutes later. Finally the neighbors watched a local clergy bless and cleanse the ground where Agustine Esteban was gunned down on Saturday night.
Twenty neighbors showed up. No one who actually knew Agustine attended. Pastor Sally from the Living Waters Church led the prayers and blessed the shrine.
As you can see from the above photograph, Esteban's gang buddies scrawled their gang tribute on the sidewalk next to the shrine - letting the community know this was a gang shooting.
