Hello Everyone:
On Saturday, June 2nd a shooting occurred on Clark and Estes and a young man was killed. This is the first killing of this nature to occur in the community this year. We will have a vigil at Clark and Estes on Wednesday at 6pm. We ask for you to attend and invite other concerned community members to create a peaceful presence.
Sincerely,
Jamiko Rose
Executive Director
Organization of the NorthEast

Note to Ceasefire, bring the spanish version posters, buttons and bumper stickers.
Look for things to be hot at Pot Park. Lots of trouble with the kings and the p-stones at the playlot. Also g/ds acting up on Morse last night.

Watch those stats, CeaseFire!
it don't count unless a kid dies
all those bullet holes in kids that didn't kill 'em, that was CeaseFire
woo hoo, CeaseFire!
A candle light vigil will do no harm. But will it do any good? Will the future shooters and knife wielders give a damn about candle light vigils or neighborhood walks. I'm not dissing the vigil, it's a kind of mourning. But let's not fool ourselves into thinking that vigils like this will have any affect on crime.
Amen Tom!!!
