* Ceasefire Responds

Hello Everyone:

On Saturday, June 2nd a shooting occurred on Clark and Estes and a young man was killed. This is the first killing of this nature to occur in the community this year. We will have a vigil at Clark and Estes on Wednesday at 6pm. We ask for you to attend and invite other concerned community members to create a peaceful presence.

Sincerely,
Jamiko Rose
Executive Director
Organization of the NorthEast

Look for things to be hot at Pot Park. Lots of trouble with the kings and the p-stones at the playlot. Also g/ds acting up on Morse last night.

A candle light vigil will do no harm. But will it do any good? Will the future shooters and knife wielders give a damn about candle light vigils or neighborhood walks. I'm not dissing the vigil, it's a kind of mourning. But let's not fool ourselves into thinking that vigils like this will have any affect on crime.
