* Sea of Blue
If you missed it, and most civilians did, you missed a 4 star act. Last night, the master of the roll call, Lieutenant Fitzsimmons gave another barn burner of a performance. And his audience, 3 rows of uniformed officers. Close to 90 armed men and women in all. Talk about a sea of blue. This roll call was classic 'General Patton' material. Very, very impressive. I'm started to believe the good lieutenant hires a professional script writer from Hollywood.
BLOGNOTES: The lieutenant thinks I ought to be paying the department residuals for all the time they get featured on my blog. What do you think?

I especially like how they're lined up in front of the Big Adelphi Hole....good stuff!
You missed the morning roll call at Pottawatomie Park. Not nearly as many police, but as part of the ward CLEAN thing, we had about 100 kids from Jordan School, the principal of Jordan, City representatives from CAPS, CDOT, Buildings, Streets and San, Graffiti busters, Water dept, and more.
Of course, the Alderman was a no show; however Mary Anne did represent the Ward office. Oh, and a beginning and ending prayer. What's up with that, separation of church and State and all that?
I live here too, our boy joey was a no show because he was to busy standing around el stations passing out dounuts!!
What amount of time do you think joey puts in as alderman per day?
a.) 1-2 hrs
b.) 3-4 hrs
c.) 6-8 hrs
Ryne and others -- why does Moore hang out at the RP Metra with donuts still?
As much time as he was up there this campaign season... I got really tired of seeing him accost all of us as we walked up the stairs. I live in the 50th and it got to the point where I would go around to the other staircase so I didn't have to listen to "I'm Joe Moore!" all the time.
I didn't even have a donut the other day. Now, if he had bottles of water.....
ryne asked "What amount of time do you think joey puts in as alderman per day?"
Per Day?
d. None of the above
JOMO WITH DONUTS?
Too bad it doesn't accomplish anything. Just another public relations stunt designed by the non-police ,empty holsters that run the CPD. While these Officers are out standing around trying to impress the public, there are people that need help, crimes being committed etc. BTW, please don't think I'm blaming the rank and file for this nonsense. They are forced into it. They don't want to be there anymore than a person with an ounce of common sense wants them to be there.
ah, are any single?
