* Where's the Morse Avenue Streetscape?

It's been nearly three months since Joe Moore allegedly stole the election from the 49th ward voters. A court of law is now looking into the matter.

Since that time Joe Moore has been, for the most part, absent from the job. Sure, he's done a couple ribbon cuttings and passed out some free donuts. But other than that - what has Joe Moore done?

Moore took great pride in announcing - the "Morse Avenue Streetscape continues to improve", in a early campaign newsletter. Joe told us - "to look for bold changes this summer with $3 million in streetscape improvements". Bold? New? Was that a bold, new lie?

In early December at a campaign rally Joe Moore told the crowd - "a new streetscape project will get underway on Morse Avenue this summer". Joe Moore told us again this spring, the streetscape was to begin in the summer. Did Joe lie to us here again?

Where's the Morse Avenue Streetscape? Now it's summer - and Joe Moore is delaying the project another season, telling us it will start in the fall.

Does anyone remember the fall of 2005? In 2005 Joe Moore told a crowd of 100, we'd see the project start in 2006.

Joe Moore told us he had secured the funding and everything. 2006 came and went. We saw no streetscape as Joe Moore promised. That, we all know now, was a big, fat lie. If there's one thing Joe Moore is good at, it's telling a bold faced lie.

Circa 2005: $1.600,000 - To construct a streetscape project along Morse avenue from Clark street to Sheridan road.

Where did these federal funds go Joe Moore?

This is the biggest problem I have with Joe Moore: he'll get in a big pissing match with the mayor over something like the big box ordinance and then the neighborhood suffers when the city neglects us when it comes to passing out goodies like a Morse streetscape.

Oh, you forgot to mention the key note speaker at the CMSA 8th grade graduation where he had not prepaired a speech since he didnt' know he was speaking!!! Boy, that man can rattle on and on about nothing for a long time. I think some people were snoring as loud as our buddy Otis.

I think the Morse streetscape is located right by our new fire station, and the completely filled Gateway mall.

You just can't see it because we have no more crime.

Hey hugh,

What's is Alan's full name? Blogging on city time is he? I hope we can prove that and get him fired.

What a shock it would be that thrumyeyesinc is not just an ordinary citizen. NO bias in his comments. Just a friend of the alderman/lazy city worker.
