You might already have these two buildings on your Dope Shack List, Craig, but last night I noticed a lot of loitering and suspicious activity by these two building on Sheridan when I walked a friend to her car:

6825 N. Sheridan Road
We smelled strange odors as we walked past a group of men loitering in front of the 6830 building. There were also a few in front of the 6825 building.

Asking what Joe plans to do about the problem is like asking God when the Law of Gravity will be repealed.
As long as we have our current leadership, we will have the same problems, and probably more of the same.
I'll start calling 311 about these buildings and that corner.
We have a burgeoning new drug corner here, it appears.
They're like roach infestations- until we get really effective "residual treatment" in this neighborhood, in the form of committed leadership that doesn't tolerate slumlords and crime-infested buildings, we are just going to have to "spot treat" by pushing them out of every location as they migrate from one corner or building to the next.

live in the 6825 N. Sheridan building. The engineers are really good about chasing loiterers away. They generally come down from the oasis and hang around the 4+1 bldgs. The residents I've met in the bldg. all seem to be good, hard working folks. Having grown up in Rogers Park, it's really difficult to watch it in decline. I shopped at the Jewel on Morse, Charrles Variety and ate K'Mars regularly. These name probably don't mean much to you -- but I sure miss the good old days.
