* E-mailed Alderman's Office - But No Response
Hey Craig,
Not the biggest problem in Rogers Park, but check this out. When we first moved to Rogers Park, our apartment came with a parking space for an extra $50 a month. Then about two years ago the city bought the parking lot and gave us one week to get out & locked the gate.
I heard rumors about turning it into a park but its been two years and nothing has happened but overgrown weeds, a rat haven, and a new area for gangbangers to drink.
This is odd right? You would think the city would at least rent out the parking to the community which is lacking in this neighborhood, and collect a bit of lost revenue.
I sent our alderman a couple emails about this, but no response.

On 3/27/07 the not-for-profit Corporation for Open Lands transfered this land to the City. Someone could call them (312 427-4256) and ask them for status and post back. Thanks!
