* Northside State Budget Hearing Was Rigged
Who is this girl? I watched her sort through the guest speaker questionnaires for tonight's public forum on the State Budget cuts. She was pulling out certain forms that matched a print-out of names on a sheet. Was she hand-picking the speakers? I'm guessing if you were a proponent to one of their issues, or check the proponent box, you gotta speak. If you were a opponent, or you check that box, your question got thrown in the trash.
When I asked this guy why she was pulling out certain questionnaires and matching them to the print-out, he got all defensive. Finally he told me they were RSVP'ed speakers. RSVP? Wasn't this a public meeting? Who gets special treatment for a public hearing?
The guy said he was a staffer and wouldn't give his name or who he was a staffer for. He even got worked up when I wanted to take his photograph. He did the cover-up his face routine like he was hiding from something at a public meeting.
Still I managed to capture his mug. Here he is.
Anyhow, I figured why stick around if the speakers and questions were already predetermined. They'd probably have me wait until the very end of the night.
BLOGNOTES: I noticed Ms. Rose from O.N.E. was there with her pre-made speech. Even though she arrived late, I'm sure she was ONE of the first to speak. I'm guessing she was there to tell the crowd there were no shootings in Rogers Park this year because of her. And she wanted her bounty.
There were plenty of paid reporters on-duty, so you'll be able to get their dog and pony show coverage from them. Still wondering. Who are these two and why were they hand-picking the questionnaires?

I don't know who she is, but I wish I got her number.
Who knew dirty politics could be so sexy?
That girl is kinda cute.
Oh, and was Carol Ronen there?
There had been a pre-set agenda planned for this meeting. Speaker Madigan's staff had many, many advocates and concerned citizens who wanted to speak at Loyola. On the night of the hearing, there were many more individuals who wanted to sign up. The guy you got so paranoid about was simply matching names from the planned agenda with the new testimony sign in forms (both people who were on the pre-set agenda and people who decided the night of the hearing to speak were were asked, but not required to, fill out a form with information about their testimony and such forms assist the legislators to tally statistics). This way Speaker Madigan's staff could allow speakers who had planned in advance to provide testimony (and got on the agenda)the opportunity to speak before the (equally important) johnny come latelys.

PS Your blog in general is totally negative and racist.
She looks like that Moore supporter who was trying to get in my building to drum up votes for him during the election.
