Dear Joe,
It's been 6 months since you squeaked by in a election. A very close election where-as you had to spend nearly 3/4 of a million dollars to secure 4000 votes. That's after not even pulling 50% of the vote two months earlier. Since then, the 49th ward residents have seen very little action regarding the couple dozens expensive campaign mailers you mailed out to the ward residents, touting your so-called success stories.
One such story being the 1340 West Morse/1345 West Lunt buildings, formerly known as the Block Building, now known as the Rider Building. You claimed victory sort of speak.
Since you've been re-elected, this property has gotten worse, not better. It never was fixed Joe, we all know that now. Your campaign mailers were one big fat lie. While you were able to fool enough saps into believing you were the man for the job, clearly you've shown you have no interest in the 49th ward. Otherwise we wouldn't have this on-going problem with these buildings.
This property is a slum. It's front entranceways are prime locations for the open air drug market salesmen. Like I witnessed again last night. Then, this morning, I was again woke up by the 5:45 a.m. garbage man.
What's it going to take Joe? What does the community have to do? You know we've got a problem. A serious problem. Yet since you've been elected, you haven't done anything to address this on-going slum building. Except for claiming it's been fixed. Well Joe it hasn't been fixed - and I'd like to know what you are doing about the problem.

Here is joey being joey, jumping on the media bandwagon! joey why aren't you standing in front of the governors house makeing an issue of the CTA issue. The CTA budget problems have really put a big dent in the city getting the Olyimpic games.
So joey act now?? It is alittle to late! Where were you when the CTA issue need action?? Opps I forgot in Washington to stop the war! How did that work for you? I think the war is still going on.
Act Now to Save the CTA
Dear Neighbor,
The CTA is facing an impending budget shortfall that will require drastic cuts in service and a fare increase on September 16th. I am writing to ask you to contact the Governor and our state legislators to urge them to enact needed legislation to address the CTA's funding crisis.
As you know, I was highly critical of CTA management under the leadership of former CTA President Frank Kruesi. While more reforms are needed, the CTA's new president, Ron Huberman has taken a number of important steps to get the CTA's fiscal house in order, including $38 million in administrative cuts and securing agreements from labor unions to secure pension and health care reforms.
However, management reforms alone cannot eliminate the size of the current CTA budget deficit, which continues to grow because of a lack of critical state funding. One of our state legislators, State Rep. Julie Hamos, has spearheaded legislation that would put the CTA and other transit agencies on sound financial footing for years to come. Our other two state legislators, Harry Osterman and Lou Lang supported her bill, but unfortunately the bill failed to pass the Illinois House of Representatives.
If the Governor and General Assembly do not address the funding crisis this week, the CTA has announced it will increase fares anywhere from $.50 to $1.00 on both bus and rail lines and eliminate 39 bus routes, including the 96 Lunt bus. These cuts will pose a tremendous hardship on transit riders throughout the Chicago area, including the 49th Ward where so many residents rely on public transit to get to their jobs and schools.
I will do everything in my power to minimize the effects of those cuts on our ward. But you can play a role, too. Please take the time to contact the Governor and our state legislators to tell them how important public transit is to you.

I wonder if Alderliar Moore will respond by claiming that you must be on drugs or something like that. I know he has pulled that BS line in the past.
I really do not know how true this information is, but I spoke with a man who works in the janitorial department for these two properties and he stated to me that all the workers and tenants received 60 day notices to vacate last week, that the properties had sold. Anyone have any more information on this possible dream come true?
