* Shooting on Paulina (Updated)

Breaking news....

I just got word of another shooting. This time at 7632 North Paulina Avenue a little after 7 a.m. this morning. My source tells me of hearing about 5 shots - then a pause - followed by 2 or 3 more shots. The shots came from someone in a white Ford F-150 truck.

Police are searching for the offender as we speak. He's ditched his original red hoodie outfit and now is wearing a blue t-shirt. The man-hunt is in the 7700 block of North Marshfield. The offender is considered armed and dangerous with a small caliber weapon. 25 caliber shell casings were found at the scene. Victim is in the hospital. More to come, as details start flowing in.

Update #1: I'm told there were four people partying hard and being loud around this truck all night. Three males and one female. The shooting happened in front of Bud Ogles' Women's shelter.

I'll be keeping an eye open for him. Can you give us a better description? Height, weight, race?

One minute you don't want the race, the next you do. You're a confusing one.

No height, no weight given. I need not tell you what color skin the shooter was. I really don't need to be raked over the coals today for reporting a story.

OK, I'm sorry.

Could it be a coincidence that I have been calling 911 every morning the past few weeks between 6:30 and 7:00 a.m. to report a man selling drugs on Paulina? Could it be a coincidence that mans car can be seen in one of the pictures you have here? An older model maroon Nissan Altima. If you tell me the victim of this shooting was a jamaican man with long dreads I won't be surprised.

Neighbors on the 7700 block have complained of drug dealing and heavy traffic in certain buildings.

Gee, was logged off before this one popped up!

Based on the police report at the 2422 CAPS meeting, this was gang related and the victim and the shooter knew one another. The victim is not cooperating with police at this time. So, if found the shooter will probably not face any charges. So we'll have another yet another gang banger loose north of Howard with a gun. Crime is down though.

Are you saying the guy who took a bullet also was burned after being killed the next day?
